Description
The NXP PN532 is a highly integrated NFC controller designed for contactless communication at 13.56 MHz, built around an 80C51 microcontroller core. It supports multiple operating modes including ISO/IEC 14443A/MIFARE Reader/Writer, FeliCa Reader/Writer, ISO/IEC 14443B Reader/Writer, ISO/IEC 14443A/MIFARE Classic 1K/4K Card Emulation, FeliCa Card Emulation, and ISO/IEC 18092/ECMA-340 Peer-to-Peer mode. The PN532 manages complete ISO/IEC 14443A framing, including parity and CRC error detection, greatly simplifying the design of NFC systems. It integrates a high-performance demodulator and decoder for reliable communication with a wide range of cards and tags. With flexible host interfaces such as UART, SPI, and I²C, the PN532 can easily be embedded into various devices including payment terminals, access control systems, and consumer electronics. Its robust feature set and flexible design make it ideal for developing NFC-enabled solutions with minimal external components.
