The AiP4054 is a compact and highly integrated linear charger IC designed for single-cell lithium-ion battery applications. Utilizing a constant-current/constant-voltage (CC/CV) charging algorithm, it features an internal PMOSFET and eliminates the need for external sense resistors or blocking diodes, simplifying circuit design and reducing overall cost. The charging voltage is preset to 4.2V, and the charging current can be easily set up to 500mA via an external resistor. Once the battery voltage reaches 4.2V and the charging current drops to 1/10 of the set value, the AiP4054 automatically terminates charging and enters standby mode with a supply current below 100μA. When the input power is removed, the device enters a low-power sleep mode with battery leakage current less than 1μA. The AiP4054 also integrates undervoltage lockout, automatic recharge, and charge status indication.
