The CS1231 is a high-precision, low-power Sigma-Delta Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) IC featuring a 24-bit no missing code resolution and a built-in low-noise programmable gain amplifier (PGA). With selectable gain options of 64 or 128, it achieves an ENOB (Effective Number of Bits) of up to 20.3 bits when PGA is set to 128. The chip integrates a third-order Sigma-Delta modulator and supports 10Hz and 80Hz output data rates, ideal for precise low-frequency signal acquisition in measurement systems.
The CS1231 includes an internal RC oscillator (±8%) and also supports external clock input via the CKIN pin. Its low power consumption modes (Standby, Power Down) make it especially suitable for battery-powered and portable applications. With a 2-wire SPI-compatible interface, the CS1231 ensures easy integration into embedded designs.
